Shipping Policy

Where do we ship?

We ship all our product from Victoria, Australia

DISPATCH TIME FRAME

Please note, the delivery timeframes below are estimates only. 

We aim to ship all orders within 1-2 business days. During busy seasons, there may be a delay in processing your order due to an increase in order volumes. The estimated delivery time is from the date the order has shipped, not necessarily the date of the order.

Orders are not dispatched on weekends or Victorian Public Holidays.

How to track my order?

You will receive a tracking number in your dispatch notification email. All parcels are sent using Australia Post. To track your item go to – auspost.com.au/track/

If your parcel hasn’t arrived within the estimated time period, we recommend contacting Australia Post or checking the Australia Post website to see if delivery of your parcel has been attempted.

STANDARD SHIPPING

All orders over $150 AUD receive complimentary standard shipping!

Standard delivery is $10.00 AUD including GST, for orders under $150 AUD within Australia.

Delivery within 2-7 business days once the order has been shipped.

EXPRESS SHIPPING

Express delivery is $15.00 AUD including GST (Australia Wide Only).

Orders are prioritised for next business day dispatch.

Delivery within 1-2 business days, however, can take up to 4 business days depending on location within Australia (such as rural areas), once the order has been shipped.

We do not guarantee next day delivery.

NEW ZEALAND SHIPPING

All orders over $150 AUD receive complimentary standard shipping!

Standard delivery is $16.00 AUD including GST, for orders under $150 AUD

Delivery within 8-12 business days once the order has been shipped.

Express delivery is $32.00 AUD including GST

Delivery within 4-8 business days once the order has been shipped.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

All orders over $150 receive complimentary standard shipping!

International Shipping is $25 AUD flat rate.

Delivery can take between 10-25 business days, depending on your country (not including weekends or public holidays) once the order has been shipped.

International Post Office Box (PO Box) addresses are not valid for delivery. We apologise for any inconvenience.

International shipping services may be suspended for selected countries due to COVID-19 restrictions, please check their website for available services here.

Customs charges may apply to some international orders depending on the weight and/or value of the parcel. As every country is different, we cannot determine how much this will be per order.

Makiam Designs will not be held responsible for any parcels that customers have refused to pay the Customs charges on in that country.

Makiam Designs does not charge international customers with Australian tax amounts per item, this means international customers are NOT required to pay Australian taxes on the goods.

Additional Note

Goods are delivered by Australia post shipping services and their international local delivery partners.

Makiam Designs do not cover or replace any orders that are delays, damaged or lost in transit.

For any delivery service chosen to deliver the order we do not guarantee delivery of your parcel, however, if a delivery issue does arise, we will assist by communicating with the Postal Service.

Please check your address has been entered correctly. Contact us as soon as possible if you wish to change your address. Unfortunately, if your parcel is already in transit we are not able to change the shipping address.

Makiam Designs will not be held responsible for any parcels delivered to the incorrect address entered on your order. 

Return Policy

Return

Inquiries are dealt with on an individual basis with the key aim of making our customers content.

We are confident in the quality of our handmade goods, which are all checked to guarantee customer satisfaction.

Every request will be given due consideration and handled equitably. We believe that treating our customers fairly and with respect will ensure they reciprocate.

Conditions of return

Items returned must be in the same condition as when it was sent to you. (unworn and unused with all original packaging and labels)

Earrings products, hair accessories, and seasonal or sales items cannot be returned for change of mind reasons.

Shipping costs from online purchases are non-refundable.

Makiam Designs offers you a refund or exchange within 7 days of receiving your parcel.

Transaction fees and shipping costs associated with the exchange or return is the responsibility of the customer.

Faulty/ Defects

We aim to get it right the first time which is why we inspect each product 2-3 times throughout our quality control process. Our goods come with guarantees included under the Australian Consumer Law. 

If you feel you have received a defective product, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order, and kindly include your order number and a photo of the product in question so we can begin discussing how to resolve the issue.

Refund

Any damaged or faulty items will be replaced or you will be refunded if there are no replacement items available.

Please keep in mind if a refund is accepted, the transaction fees and shipping costs will be deducted.

If you do not return the item within 30 days, unfortunately, you will not be entitled to a refund or exchange of the purchase.
