When I was 15 years old, I discovered my love for Polymer Clay and develop a strong passion for designing and then handcrafting it to create a physical item. I love the process of creating something from nothing to something beautiful.

I started handcrafting as a hobby but decided to take a courageous step out of my comfort zone to share my work with each of you and turn it into my own business. Fast forward to 2021, Makiam Designs was born and launched in 2022.

“Makiam” is derived from the first two letters of my family, and mine names (MA-KI-AM), with the core value of creating high-quality craftsmanship in each piece. All of our jewellery and hair accessories are proudly designed and meticulously handcrafted in Victoria, Australia. Every piece is unique and one-of-a-kind, perfect for everyday wear or as a gift for your loved ones. 

This small business is my escape from my daily routine. I love creating new designs and finding ways to make them available for you to enjoy. I hope that you find joy in wearing the jewellery and hair accessories that I create. My goal is for my customers to feel the same joy wearing my designs as I did making them.
